​GIVE UP

 

I have been strong 

For too long ,I guess

I have fought with my outer demons

I had only one aim,which is winning

yes ,I did and fulfilled

For too long , I guess 

I have manoeuvred 

Through life's hardships

with only one aim ,to survive

Yes,I did and fulfilled.

For too long ,I know 

I tried to fight my inner demons

But I guess that's one fight 

I could never win.

I finally said the words I never thought I would,

I give up

for life , I realised;

is a bed of roses

but with thorns
